A Method for Judging the Effectiveness of Complex Tight Gas Reservoirs Based on Geophysical Logging Data and Using the L Block of the Ordos Basin as a Case Study

As an important unconventional oil and gas resource, the tight reservoir faces many technical challenges due to its low porosity, permeability, strong heterogeneity. Among them, accurate definition of effective reservoirs ineffective in directly affects formulation adjustment subsequent development plans. This paper proposes a effectiveness identification method based on double factors conventional geophysical logging data core experimental data. The considered are response physical parameters reservoir. factor F1 is obtained by using difference values natural gamma curve, compensated density acoustic time curve different combined with mathematical operation, F2 calculated porosity Archie’s formula. validity can be judged intersection above factors. applied Shihezi Formation L block, applicability compared analyzed traditional method. results show that has accuracy rate reaches 96%. Compared direct use lower limit method, judgment significantly improved, calculation simple, easy implement, unaffected mud invasion.
